Pink Cloud is producing our second annual eco-bridal salon on August 29 at the JACCC. It’s called Soi-Meme (swa-mem), which is French for “oneself” and will be a fun-filled day of workshops and conversations over delicious organic nibbles about the options for planning a green wedding, DIY style. I’ll also be continuing the conversation about green weddings in a class that I’m teaching at East LA Community College, which is one of the nine colleges that the Los Angeles Community College District is building green (see the above pic of solar panels at EALC). According to their website, the LACCD is undertaking the largest public sector sustainable building effort in the United States, committed to taking all nine of its colleges off the grid using renewable energy!
