I originally thought that a tradeshow put on by people who produce/write about events and tradeshows for a living would be really awesome. My recent day trip to San Diego for the The Special Event show proved me wrong. It was boring and kind of creepy, actually. It was nothing like the TSE in LA that I went to, I’m not sure if it was because of the economy or just that the people in my industry (at least those of the tradeshow-going demo) are just a little off.
I went because I thought this would be a good way to see all of the new event trends and services for the year in one day… Usually I hear about new things from people who send me emails and say, “Check this out, Sarah - these people are cool, you should use them at your next party!”

Nothing like that at the TSE. Booo…. There were a few rays of inspiration from Chameleon Chair and Wildflower Linen - all in all, though. Poor show! See what we saw.
